Finding Purpose Through Parenting Invisible Differences

Have you ever felt like your perfectly planned life got tossed into a blender? I certainly have, and that’s exactly what Kari Baker and I talked about on this week’s podcast episode. Kari is a mom who, like so many of us, started her journey thinking she could plan and organize her way through parenting—only to realize that life had different plans.

Kari’s honesty and humor about learning to let go of control and embrace the unexpected will resonate with anyone who’s had to adjust their vision of “the perfect life.” Whether it’s watching her son Brady grow in ways she never imagined or learning how to let him make his (messy) school lunches, her journey is a beautiful reminder that sometimes we need to loosen our grip to find the joy that’s already there.

Want a little teaser? Here’s one of my favorite quotes from Kari:
“I learned that my control issues and planning tendencies were keeping me from embracing the beautiful life I already had.”

\If you’re ready for a heartfelt, hope-filled conversation, listen to the episode. 🎧

Oh, and while you’re at it, check out Kari’s book, Finding KIND, available as a hardback and ebook. It’s full of stories and lessons that will leave you inspired!

Here’s to letting go, leaning in, and finding the beauty in the chaos. 💛
