I don’t know about you, but accepting help has never been my strong suit. Something about it just feels… wrong? Uncomfortable? Like I should be able to do it all on my own? (Even though, let’s be real, I definitely can’t.)
This week on the podcast, we’re digging into the sneaky guilt that shows up when we try to receive support. A listener shared a comment that hit way too close to home:
“I know we need the support, but I’ve always struggled to receive help. I feel I should be able to do more, even though I can’t.”
Ugh. That “should” word. It gets us every time, right?
In this episode, I break down:
✨ Why we resist help—even when we know we need it.
✨ The beliefs that keep us stuck in overdoing.
✨ A simple mindset shift: What if accepting help actually helps others in an unpredictable way?
Maybe our willingness to receive creates space for someone else to give. Maybe it models to our kids that leaning on others is okay. Maybe it lets us be the happy, rested, not-burned-out version of ourselves.
Whatever the reason, it’s time to start accepting what’s already available to us. No guilt required. 😉
