Building The Summer Of Your Dreams

Last summer, I had high hopes. I thought we were set up for a smooth ride, but by the end, I was exhausted, Levi was bouncing between boredom and chaos, and I knew something had to change. So this year, I’m doing things differently—and I’m sharing the whole process in this week’s podcast episode.

I’m pulling from my old landscape design days (yes, that was my first career!) and treating summer like a project—starting with a clear vision, figuring out what went wrong last time, and putting real support in place. Because let’s be honest, winging it did not work.

A few things I’ve learned:
✔ The biggest mistake? Trying to figure out how before deciding what you actually want.
✔ A simple three-question evaluation of last summer can make a huge difference: What worked? What didn’t? What will I do differently?
✔ Support doesn’t magically appear—it takes planning (so I’m hiring help now).

If summer has ever felt overwhelming for you, you’re not alone. But there’s a way to make it feel lighter. Listen to the episode here: [Podcast Episode Link]
