This week’s episode is a bit of a heavy one, but I think it’s an important conversation that’s been weighing on me lately. I’ve noticed something happening in our community, and it’s really gotten me thinking.
There’s a division forming within our special needs world, and while it’s not the topic that’s dividing us, it’s how we’re responding to it that has me concerned. With so much uncertainty around our kids’ healthcare, education, and futures, it’s no wonder we’re feeling threatened. But what’s been even harder to watch is how that fear is turning into judgment and division within our own community. We’re fighting each other at a time when we need to be leaning in, supporting, and listening.
In this episode, I talk about what I’m seeing and feeling and why I think it’s time for a shift. It’s not about being right or wrong—it’s about coming together in the face of uncertainty and supporting each other in the ways that matter most.
Take a listen to the full episode! I’d love to know what you think. How are you navigating these tough times? How can we come together even when we don’t always agree?
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in the episode!
