The Real, the Raw and the Relatable – Part 1: Behind the Scenes of Our Surgery and Recovery

072:  Hey there, listeners! His week’s episode is part one in a series all about preparing for, living in, and moving last Levi’s most recent surgery. I wanted to give some real and relatable content for moms out there who may be going through similar circumstances.

I want to start by sharing how we felt like everyone, including the doctors and ourselves, where minimizing the situation. I was especially felt the huge loss of control over the whole situation and I was taking control in any way I could during this time.  Finally. We started putting a real plan and system into place, with the help of coworkers, family, and friends.  Our village was really important during this time.

Next week I’ll be talking about what worked well, what didn’t, and what I would do differently.

*I also have some exciting news for the Special Needs Mom podcast community. I’m starting a group on the app Circle for our listeners to engage with one another and with our episode guests.
